PROJECT PROPOSAL
SYNOPSIS
A female muslim cab driver has an encounter with a high-class white man when all is not as it seems. They both have their difference in opinion and disagreements and what seems apprehension between the two is in fact sexual attraction. At the end of the film he decides to ask her for her number and she hesitantly gives him her business card, ironically, not actually knowing that this may be a start to a new unprejudiced relationship that we, as an audience, may struggle with or witness today.
THEME
My film explores the perceptions linked to gender, race, religion, class and racial stereotypes.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The target audiences that believe it is a woman's place to be at home when times have now changed (modernisation) - the film is trying to present that it shouldn't come as a shock and that exploring different cultures or taking an interest does not mean you lose your morals or beliefs.
METHODOLOGY
- Borrow up to two HD cameras from cat hill
- Pre-production - looking for actors/actress's and location from now until december
- Post-production - editing, sounds etc
- Start filming in January for one week, max two weeks
CHALLENGES
- Finding a cab to rent
- Whether cameras are going to fit in the car front and back (size)
- Real life people on the streets on London (must prevent any eye contact from lens to persons eyes)
- Lighting equipment
- Developing script - keeping ideas fresh
PERSONAL OBJECTIVES
My personal objective is to create awareness that prejudism can be prevented if people was to adopt a less arrogant manner and try perceiving things with an open mind.

I want my film to be like my own take on this scenario and the racial prejudice and stereotypes portrays. I think we still have the same issues but now after a further 20 years on, things are much more subtle and everyone is guilty.

My final year film
I am now in my final year and it is time to make our final major project. I have always wanted to make a really gripping drama piece and also be both writer and director instead of taking a more assisting and supporting role. I shall explain in more detail my idea for a narrative and how I intend to make it when I post my proposal.
